Please note we do not accept orders for repeat medication over the telephone.
If you have a general enquiry regarding your medication please call (0191) 5846316 after 10.00am.
There are now several methods available to obtain repeat medication and these are listed below:
- The practice has introduced an electronic prescribing system (EPS). This service allows your prescription to be sent electronically from your GP to your nominated pharmacy securely. To allow us to go ahead with this we require you to express your ‘nomination choice’ you can do this by either contacting the practice or your pharmacy. We will then record your approval onto our system. The benefits to patients is that you no longer have to come to the surgery to collect your prescription. You may order your medication in the usual way then go to the pharmacy you have chosen after 48 hours to collect your medicine which will be prepared for you in advance. Please pick up a leaflet from the surgery or participating pharmacy.
- You can also order you prescription online however you will have to obtain your unique log in details from the practice before you can you order on line.
- You can bring the right hand side of your repeat prescription to the surgery and put it into the box on reception or if we are closed in the post box the usual turn around for repeat medication is 48 hours.
- You can also send you repeat medication slip to us in a self address envelope however this does take longer and is not the best option available to you.
